Day 2 - I am now using acrylic versus watercolor. I cannot do without some color. Will limit to four colors: Raw sienna, Raw umber, Venetian red and Hooker's green. I'll try to keep the feeling of an old photo (perhaps one that was tinted with some color). I am not used to painting on an easel versus a flat desk so I have to be careful that the paint doesn't run, although I let it run a bit on the hills for effect.

Time: Shopping at Lowe's for masonite 30M

Three layers of Gesso: One hour

Watercolor base: 30M

Day two acrylic: 30M
